I do not mean to brag (okay, a bit ' yes, I admit), but I think I can define a veteran of the Internet, at least in Italy.
Navigo since 1997, I have a blog since 2002 (and before that I had a page on GeoCities ) and I made my first online purchase in July 2003 ( amazon.fr : American Gods, Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them and Chimes of Freedom).
In almost seven and a half years I did not buy never had any problems worth mentioning, at most a few late delivery or a good book a bit 'more battered than the description suggests, obviously I went credit in luck, because in recent weeks it seems that it can no longer buy anything online without any complication.
The famous Red Sox cap of I mentioned a few posts ago never arrived, and the seller (which, as the holidays approach, I hope an attack of diarrhea during fulminant Christmas dinner with family) has never deigned to answer my email, luckily I had paid the order with PayPal and I get my money back every penny. In the end, despite esosissime shipping costs and the risk that the package is stopped at customs, I ordered the cap on the official website of the Red Sox . For the time has not arrived yet, but I am optimistic.
And then he finally opened amazon.it , and of course I could not fail to buy something immediately, given the prices very low. For the moment, I made two orders, one of three books, shipped via UPS , despite an initial problem (UPS does not deliver to PO boxes, for some mysterious reason) arrived without problems. And this was also done to send me to work (and work Milan, just minutes away Porta Garibaldi train station, not on Shit Monteculo ), not in the box.
Now, I know that a single negative example is not significant, but reading here and there I got the idea that if Amazon really wants to break in Italy, maybe SDA was not the most far-sighted choice.
And by the way, Mr. SDA: why to do the tracking of an order, in addition to the tracking number I need to enter a captcha ? UPS, DHL and FedEx, which does not request it, all three are innocent of reckless?

Since this is candidate to be the most read post (and commented) the history of my blog, it seems fair to say that the 6 / 12 the package from Amazon arrived via SDA. I think it also fair to say that the DVD package was damaged, but luckily the discs are in perfect condition. No, Mr. SDA, I would say that we have not.
Ah, still has not reached even the cap of Red Sox, but I remain confident in waiting.

The Kitsch Biennale is an international exhibition for figurative and narrative painting.
This year, the jury consisted of Bjørn Li (The Nerdrum Institute) and the kitsch painters Odd Nerdrum, Helene Knoop, Jan-Ove Tuv and David Dalla Venezia.
They have focused on applicants displaying the serious and earnest expression. This sets the exhibition concept apart from the general trend of contemporary figurative painting. Works with an eternal outlook have been preferred.
The number of applicants rose greatly from the last Kitsch Biennale 2008 in Munich, Germany. This has allowed the jury to heighten the criteria, leading to a reduced number of accepted applicants.
This fits perfectly with the exclusive space of Palazzo Cini at San Vio .

The Kitsch Biennale is an international exhibition of figurative painting and narrative.
This year's jury was composed of Bjørn Li (Nerdrum Institute) and the kitsch painter Odd Nerdrum, Helene Knoop and Jan-Ove Tuv and David Dalla Venice.
The jury has focused on those candidates who have shown more seriousness and sincerity of expression. This puts this show in a location other than against the general trend of contemporary figurative painting. They therefore prefer works that had a view of eternity.
The number of applicants has grown substantially since the previous edition of the Kitsch Biennale 2008 in Monaco of Bavaria, Germany. This allowed the jury to increase the assessment criteria, leading to reduce the number of candidates.
This thing is perfectly suited to the exclusivity of the exhibition, Palazzo Cini at San Vio .

The Kitsch Biennale is an international exhibition of figurative painting and narrative.
This year's jury was composed of Bjørn Li (Nerdrum Institute) and the kitsch painter Odd Nerdrum, Helene Knoop and Jan-Ove Tuv and David Dalla Venice.
The jury has focused on those candidates who have shown more seriousness and sincerity of expression. This puts this show in a location other than against the general trend of contemporary figurative painting. They therefore prefer works that had a view of eternity.
The number of applicants has grown substantially since the previous edition of the Kitsch Biennale 2008 in Monaco of Bavaria, Germany. This allowed the jury to increase the assessment criteria, leading to reduce the number of candidates.
This thing is perfectly suited to the exclusivity of the exhibition, Palazzo Cini at San Vio .

Why “kitsch”?
The painters invited to exhibit at The Kitsch Biennale 2010 in Venice have been chosen from their ability to create life on canvas – an idea deeply rooted in European Humanism that presupposes insight into anatomy and human psychology, a mind for pathos and a sense for the archetypical narrative.
Yet, these values are rootless in contemporary art, which generally disregards skill and aims to reflect the time. They were not included in the modern concept of art (originally “fine art”), which was born about 250 years ago. Rejecting handcraft and sincerity, art represents a break with the values of the Renaissance and Baroque and not a continuation of them.
Because of this situation an alternative to art is needed, and The Kitsch Biennale seeks to present it. But why use the word “kitsch”?
The term is about 150 years old, and has commonly been used in a negative and disparaging sense. It denotes sentimentality and pathos in music, sculpture and painting.
From the 20th century on, ”kitsch” started to be used more theoretically and afterwards as the negative opposite of art. Painters who still wanted to make paint look like living skin, were considered old-fashioned and labelled with this term. According to Hermann Broch: «In art the evil is represented by kitsch». Thus, kitsch is not even ”bad art”, but forms a system of its own.
In 1996, however, Odd Nerdrum discovered the positive potential in the term. He started to claim “kitsch” as a positive superstructure for figurative, non-ironic and narrative painting to which the concept of “kitsch” fits better than “art”.
Consequently, a growing number of figurative painters are now calling themselves “kitsch painters”.
According to the positive view of kitsch:
• The eternal perspective is preferable to a contemporary, limited horizon.
• A “sentimental” or “pathetic” image is no cause of shame (Unless badly painted ...).
• Quality is more important Than Originality.
With this exhibition and catalog, we welcome you into a living discipline.

How Do You Turn On The Big Boom Box On Lpso
Speedmaster The operation begins (and a digression on the circulation of money)
With a little 'delay on the planned (but who follows this blog will know that for me it was a rather difficult year ), yesterday officially began the' operation Speedmaster .
The deadline is July 2019 (50th anniversary of the landing on the Moon), and to raise the money necessary to purchase, I decided to keep aside all foreign coins in my pocket that will pass by. I have not the faintest idea how I can get there, but I am confident of being able to put together more or less necessary 2000 Euri purchase well within the required nine years. And I admit that I was a bit curious to see how quickly the money will accumulate: it could also be a fair observation on the spread and circulation of coins in the EU area.
As I said last year: I know you will not give a damn, but never mind, I wanted to say.

The post shows the original word for word, I just added a few to make it bold a bit 'more readable.

Master and Commander - The Far Side of the was in my opinion one of the best films of last season, and the DVD (already announced as a rich collector's edition on two discs) is one of the most anticipated this spring and summer.

Blue Films Mysore Mallige
Wisconsin Mozzarella
That Wisconsin was the dairy of America already knew (thanks to the magnificent Thank You For Smoking ). That they occur also in Wisconsin Asiago and Gorgonzola (not to mention Feta, Gouda and Brie), frankly, no.
Now, I'm far from a purist, especially when it comes to food, also cheeseburger on this site really seem to be multiple orgasm: But good heavens, Mozzarella from Wisconsin I think too much.
(Unfortunately The site is in Flash and I can not link directly to the sub, however the ' Asiago Wisconsin is used in the sandwich # 15, # 20 in Gorgonzola and Mozzarella - along with a disturbing Wisconsin Parmesan - in # 9. And the booming voice of the guy who describes the burger is fabulous.)

I saw a few days Avatar on DVD, and I admit that I fear that most of the magic of cinema to view (3d, Arcadia ... I said everything) was lost in the narrow confines of home theater.
I think again: the flaws, of course, remain, but Avatar has proved a movie, and not just a collection of breathtaking special effects.
